About the TeamSargon Robotics, or team 2335, is a student driven team that relies on student teachers and workers, cooperating with mentors to reach out goals. The First Robotics Competition (FRC) combines the excitement of sports with the rigors of science and technology. Given strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, the team are challenged with a variety of tasks. This includes raising funds, designing a team "brand", honing teamwork skills, and building and programming the robots. They are designed to perform prescribed tasks in a field full of competitors. It's as close to "real world engineering" a student can get. Volunteering mentors lend their time and skills to guide each team as they reach for success.
Since robotic's founding in 2008, we have won the Rookie All-star Award at the Greater Kansas City Regional, Semi-finals at Cowtown, and the creativity award in a regional competition. |

FIRST Robotics Competition
Sargon uses FIRST robotics competition (FRC) as a way to test, enter, and compete with the robot made over a six-week period. The ideologies of FRC are based around ideas which the organization itself coined terms for; Gracious Professionalism and Cooperation. Gracious Professionalism introduces the idea that fierce competitiveness and mutual gain can and should coincide with each other, as one should always keep in mind respect for the individuals and the community. Cooperation is the idea of displaying immense respect in the face of competition and promotes the idea of learning from teammates, mentors, and even opponents.
